anchor for Azteca America National News, where her coverage of breaking national and international stories won her recognition and exposure across the country. While with Azteca, Torres also oversaw weekly reports on the heated immigration issue. She later worked as the evening head anchor for “Calles al Desnudo,” a live daily news and entertainment program.

Currently, Torres combines her duties as anchor for Hispanics Today with those of being a field producer and a director of Hispanic Media Relations. She coordinates and produces helpful relationships with both English and Spanish media, as well as produces video news releases for national and international exposure. Torres has been the face of Hispanics Today and has made the program more recognized around the country. In 2006, she was invited to emcee the 16th annual United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Legislative Conference Awards in Washington, D.C. and the 13th Annual Hispanic Scholarship Awards Gala.

A native of Bogotá, Colombia, Torres spent her youth splitting time between the U.S. and Colombia. She divided her high school and college time between Colombia and the Virginia/Maryland area. She holds a B.A. in Mass Communications from Shepherd University.
