Hispanics Today is an English-language television show that highlights the largest and fastest growing segment of the U.S. population-the Latino market-and their impact on American business, politics and culture.

Internship Requirements

  • Students must be a college junior, senior or graduate student and MUST receive academic credit for the internship.
     

  • All internships are non-paid and non-technical in nature.

Internship Assignment

  • Interns will assist producers in story research, gaining experience in magazine style story gathering and field production.
     

  • Interns will help coordinate video footage and log tapes, as well as gain knowledge and experience in interviewing, field, live studio and post-production techniques.
     

  • Interns will assist the staff with miscellaneous tasks as needed.

  • Candidates for this internship should be interested in a career in Television. They must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and eager to learn.
     

  • A communications major is preferred with an emphasis in broadcasting. Computer skills are essential (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.). Strong writing skills are also helpful. Bilingual preferred but not required.

Internship Schedule

Fall Semester
> September - December
Deadline to submit resume - August 24th

Spring Semester
> January - April
Deadline to submit resume - November 30th
